What I Wore: First Day of Junior Year
Hey guys! Today was my first day of junior year (in high school) and it went pretty well! My teachers are cool, and I am surrounded by people I take classes with every year so I haven't made new friends, sadly. Haha. Well anyways, I was in a huge rush this morning so I totally forgot to take a mirror OOTD as I planned to, and I changed out of this outfit in 6th period because I had tennis practice... But when I got home I took a few snapshots, so here they are!
Blouse - Love Culture
High Waisted Shorts - Thrifted Levi's Pants (DIY)
Skull Bracelet - G Stage
Lanyard Bracelet - Made by my cousin!
Ttyl on my next blog post! <3

Jenny.

❤ A Week In Instagram ❤
HEY Y'ALL! I'm starting a new series called "A Week In Instagram"! Every other Tuesday I will be uploading the pictures I took those 2 weeks on Instagram (username: jennyeunjikim), to this blog! Yay! I think this is awesome because you guys will get to see little doses of my daily lives through these pics! Comment down below if you guys are excited for these posts, because I am!
Anyways, hope y'all had an amazing Labor Day... eating BBQ, relaxing at the beach, or just spending time with your friends and family! However, one thing that's disappointing is that summer is over and school is starting soon... For me, tomorrow! I can't say I'm stoked because I hate all the workload we have to... But I'm pretty excited to see the faces I missed! I'm a little worried also because SAT is coming up,
and ughhhhhh -______- Well, I guess this is the life of a junior. Haha.
ALSOOO, as you guys know, my blog is relatively new (I started this blog July 26, 2012) and I'm proud to say I've finally reached 2000 views! (I know this doesn't seem much to a lot of you, but it is a huge deal for me!) :D This past month and a week have been an awesome journey for me; blogging definitely makes me happy because I get to share and talk about what I love! Thank you all so much, thank you all for viewing my blog, and thank you all for the nice comments. I'm starting to make new friends in this blogging world everyday, and it's truly exciting.
Ttyl on my next blog!

Back To School Fashion Trends Series - OUTERWEAR
Hey y'all! This is the fourth post for my "Back To School Fashion Trends Series"! This time, I will be discussing which types of outerwear are hot for this upcoming fall! In my opinion, some of these pieces are crucial for any fall weather―even in Southern California!
* Keep in mind that this post is mainly targeted towards girls who attend public schools with no obligations to wear uniforms or to follow harsh dress codes! If your school strictly enforces a certain dress code, I highly advise you to dress accordingly! Also, everyone has different unique styles and preferences. These are just some of my suggestions according to what I saw in magazines and other sources of fashion related media. Thank you! *
These pictures were personally created by me with the help of Polyvore! (;
1) Cardigans (Light & Chunky) - Cardigans can come in many different cuts, sleeve lengths, colors, and textures! And of course, the more... the better! It is nice to have at least one basic cardigan that you can layer over anything―t shirts, blouses, tank tops. I recommend snagging up two (one light cardigan for warmer weathers and one chunky one for cooler weathers).
2) Anoraks - Inspired by the army trend, anoraks are great to layer up on those really chilly days. They look super chic and casual with any outfit... even with a dress! The dark, mutated army green shows off your "masculine" side while still looking cute. Depending on where you live, you can buy anoraks that have attached fur collars or fur-lined hoods!
3) Denim Jacket - A must have for back to school because these lovely babies will never go out of trend! Also, they look good with ANY outfit. Light washed, medium washed, dark washed, and even acid washed... regardless of any wash, they're super hot! If you want, feel free to roll the sleeves up for more of a casual look (;
4) Leather Jacket - As I mentioned in my previous BTSFTS, the leather trend is one of my favorite trends for fall 2012! They make your outfit a whole lot edgier and definitely can spice up any plain ol' outfit! Also, of course, they keep you super warm because of the thick material! Pair these with your favorite plain white t-shirt, skinny jeans, and boots... and you're ready to head out the door!
5) Cropped Tweed Jackets - If your style is more on the "vintage" side, then this trend is perfect for you! I personally haven't found a good tweed jacket that looks good on me and is still under $40 but nonetheless, I'm still on the lookout! Yes, they do look a little formal and maybe a little too "grandma-ish" but they can easily be transformed into a great layering piece by pairing it with loose t-shirts and cropped jeans! Also, the cropped cut on the base of the jacket definitely makes the outfit more fun and edgy!

Back To School Fashion Trends Series - Clothes (PANTS)
Hey y'all! Here is another post for my Back To School Fashion Trends Series! This time, I will be discussing which fashion trends are hot for... PANTS! Yay! Yes, I know... that shopping for pants might not be the most exciting thing... but we all know that they are super necessary for our wardrobe! Finding the right cut and color of bottoms that look great on your body is really hard, since we all have different sizes of hips, thighs, and butts! Haha. However, when you DO come across those amazing fitting pants, don't pass it up and snag it... Especially when they fall under the category of the following suggestions!

1) Dark Colored Denim - We all know that neon and pastel colored denim were HUGE trend in spring/summer 2012! Well, since fall 2012 is coming around, it's time to switch 'em out for some dark colored denim! On the collage are some burgundy, indigo, and dark green pants that are so easy to style for fall!
2) Animal Printed Denim - Yes, they're a little wild. But they can add so much pizzaz to any outfit! Just pair one of these babies with a simple white top and you're good to go!
3) Digital Printed Pants - Honestly, these are a little out of my comfort zone, but I admit I'm definitely loving this trend! They're a huge head turner! Like the animal printed denim, these prints are pretty wild and can add lots of attention to your outfit!
4) Faux Leather Pants - Ah, my favorite fall 2012 trend for pants! Sadly, I have still not yet to find an amazing faux leather pants that fit me like a glove! However, I am not losing hope and neither should you! In my opinion, they're super badass and so edgy! These would look absolutely stunning with a nice, boxy floral top. So many outfit ideas just running inside my head by just looking at these pants! <3

1) Chambray Button Downs - Denim/Chambray is making a huge comeback this fall as it is seen on the fall runways and on the best fashionistas on the streets! They are perfect on-the-go shirts and can easily be dressed up or down. These shirts look great paired with black denim, white denim, neon denim, pastel denim, patterned denim... you get the idea lol. They also look fantastic with skirts and high-waisted shorts for the autumn days where it's still blazing hot (perfect example: Southern California lol).
2) Plaid Button Downs - This is a must have piece for going back to school. I personally ADORE plaid button downs because they come in many different cuts and colors. Wearing plaid button down shirts are also great ways to channel in your "masculine" side and still look playful and casual.
3) Floral Printed Tops - Wanna look girly and feminine while still looking chic and put together? Then floral tops are must haves for your back to school wardrobe! Floral tops look excellent with dark washed denim, white shorts, and even with high-low skirts! It adds a lot of color to your outfit without looking like you tried "too hard". Plus, they're usually made of light cotton or chiffon material so it would keep you fresh while still looking cool.

Back To School Fashion Trends Series - SHOES
School is definitely just around the corner for me (not excited) and I bet everyone can agree that this summer vacation went by WAAAAY too fast! However, one thing I'm excited before school starts is back to school shopping! Yay! For those of you who need a boost on "how to go back to school in style", then this is the right series for you! I will be doing an official Back To School Fashion Trends Series starting today... with SHOES! Here are some really cool styles of shoes to look out for on your next back to school shopping trip! Also, these pictures were personally created by me with the help of Polyvore! (;
1) Loafers - Instead of going traditional with ballet flats, try something new by slipping on some loafers! They are super cute and comfortable (if you find the right one) and can easily transition from a regular school day to just hanging out after school with friends!
2) Chunky Ankle Boots - These are super easy to style with any fall oufits! They look great tucked with skinny jeans, leggings, or with some patterned shorts! Like loafers, they come in many different colors, shapes, heels, and details, so buy whichever pair that suits your comfort zone & style the most!
3) Converse High Tops - Converse or any type of sneakers are a must-have pair for back to school! If you don't own a decent pair of sneakers you love, it's time to invest in one now! I personally love the Converse high tops over the low tops because it looks more casual and playful! They look great with literally ANYTHING―jeans, shorts, skirts, leggings... you name it! Plus, they are absolutely perfect for dressing down that too-fancy-dress you would love to wear to school!

NOTD 08/20/12 - PINK CANDY NAILS
Hey guys! I was feeling super girly today so I painted my nails with all of the pink nail polishes I own. I have exactly 5 pink toned nail polishes―one for each fingernail on my hand. Lol just kidding, that's only a coincidence. First I started off with a clean, solid base: "Pink Friday" by OPI on thumb, "Neon Pink" by KLEAN COLOR on index finger, "Coral Reef" by Sally Hansen on middle finger, "Fuchsia Power" by Sally Hansen on ring finger, and "Teak Rose" by Revlon on the pinky finger. Then, for each fingertip, I dotted the colors I did not use for that particular finger... if that makes sense.
As you can see, this nail look is pretty self explanatory.
It makes me happy because I think it looks like I dipped my fingertips into candy sprinkles (;
Feel free to try this nail look; it only took like 20 minutes! Make sure to finish with a top coat to secure the lumpy dots on the fingertips...
I also think it'll look cute if you use blue toned nail polishes as well.
Well anyways, I hope you enjoyed today's NOTD and I'll ttyl on my next blog post!
XOXO,
Jenny.

Sunday Morning.
Today seems like a very strange day...
I'm currently sitting in a church classroom doing nothing, just taking pictures and trying to write this blog lol. Had a mini photoshoot for Beautyriot fall look contest earlier today and... I am just really tired. I wore a cute outfit for the photoshoot but I changed out of it because it's like, 85 degrees.
Anyways, If you guys didn't know, Maroon 5 is seriously my obsession and addiction... Every Sunday morning for the past 2 or 3 months I have started my day out by listening to "Sunday Morning" by Maroon 5 while sipping hot coffee...
Speaking of coffee, I'm addicted to that as well.
Sorry for my random rambling... Lol. Hope y'all have a great week and I'll ttyl on my next blog post... Which is going to be a NOTD! (;

Dressing Down The Blazer.
Hey guys! (: Sorry for being MIA for a week.. I've been busy going to practices, hanging out with friends, doing homework, studying for SATs, and just getting my mind ready to go back to school. Unfortunately, the weather is still pretty hot, even though it has calmed its way back down from the 90s...
Anyways, I've been really enjoying looks that mixes "professional" pieces with really playful and summery pieces. I think this outfit is a great example of transitioning your summer pieces into fall, and it can be easily done by just adding a dark blazer or a cardigan. For shoes, I opted for some loafers instead of sandals to make the outfit look more put together.
White Tank Top - Don't Remember
Floral Shorts - F21
Black Blazer - F21
Taupe Crossbody Purse - H&M
Light Pink Loafers - Marshall's
Gold Tassle Necklace - F21
Thanks for reading & I'll ttyl on my next blog post!
XOXO,
Jenny.

Mix Of The Essentials.
As mentioned in the title, I've compiled a few of my favorite essentials from my wardrobe to create this simple and comfortable ensemble (except for the heels haha).
In this outfit, I tucked my favorite white t-shirt into my black cuffed shorts and wore an eye-catching plaid shirt unbuttoned to give it more of a "laid-back" look. I personally think this outfit is perfect for one of those lazy, tiring days at school (just switch out the heels for sneakers or sandals).
If you're wondering...
Plaid Shirt - American Eagle Outfitters
White Scoopneck T-Shirt - Target
Black Cuffed Shorts - Don't remember
Black Heels - Cathy Jean
Also, the neon green pyramid bracelet is from Forever21 & the gray skull charm bracelet is from G-Stage. The friendship bracelets are made by my cousin & my friends. The rings are stackable rings that came in a pack of 4 from Forever21.
Anyways, how are you guys doing in this really ridiculous California heat wave? I'm doing my best to try to endure it but there are times where I just want to go in a bucket of ice, naked. Make sure to stay hydrated and don't stand too long in front of the AC! (;
Thanks for reading, and ttyl on my next blog post!
XOXO,
Jenny.
